From Svolvær: RIB Boat Lofoten Trollfjord Sea Eagle Safari

About This Experience
Head for the majestic Trollfjord on a RIB sea-eagle safari that sails through Raftsundet, home to a large population of white-tailed eagles — Northern Europe's largest bird of prey, with a wingspan up to 2.65 metres. You'll be fully kitted out first with a warm wetsuit, gloves, hat, balaclava, wind goggles or helmet, and a life jacket, so you stay comfortable at speed.
As the RIB slows near the cliffs, the guide draws the eagles in and you may watch them dive for fish just metres from the boat — an unforgettable close encounter. Between wildlife stops you'll take in steep mountains, beaches and clear blue sea, and hear stories about the area's Viking history from your bilingual guide.

We really enjoyed the safari although the weather was very windy with waves up to 1.5m and rain, the guide drove excellently, we had enough time to take photos and overall rhe experience was lovely. The waves even made the boat ride more exciting :) Felt safe the whole time.

It was a good tour and delivered on what was promised. The captain/ guide gave us information about the area as well as the sea eagles. They were white tailed eagles who lined up on the rocks to be thrown the fish. We had a lot of gear to wear which kept us warm although my suit was wet on the inside which I discovered too late. We could have got the trip at a lower price in Svolvaer.
